Is a geological spectacle acclaimed, protected in 1987. The entire site is located on an area of 4.05 ha. The area is marked and fenced. It is a unique example of the geological phenomena that formed the Karst, of its structure and of the forces that created this abandoned quarry.
Dvije Sestrice (Two Sisters) is a forest vegetation reserve, because of its thick holm oak forest the Gustinja promontory. On this island are nesting site for seagulls. The Palud marsh is a special ornithological reserve because Its brackish water and lush vegetation attract many bird species.
Zlatni rt is a beautiful park on the Istrian peninsula, near Rovinj. This age-old park has thousands of indigenous and domesticated plants, such as the groves of holm oaks and Alpine pines and many foreign plants, such as the cedar, the pine and some ten species of cypress.
The Rovinj archipelago consists of 19 islands. This area of outstanding natural beauty extends from St. Ivan promontory to Barbariga, including all the Rovinj islands and the mainland 500 metres from the shore line.
The Lim valley (Limska draga) is located on the western coast of Istria, near Rovinj and Vrsar, south of Poreč. It is the 35 km long valley of the river Pazincica, which transforms into the Lim bay (Limski zaljev). With its emerald green sea and varied vegetation this is one of the most beautiful fjords on the Adriatic coast. Here you can find a Romuald's cave.
